3 Atlantic Quay is part of a group of buildings in Glasgow’s financial district, IFSD, originally developed in the early 1990’s.
We were asked to look at the comprehensive refurbishment of this building following our involvement on the adjacent building, 1 Atlantic Quay.
Reception areas were completely transformed, bringing together a coordinated palette of materials which were reflected throughout the common areas: cool, calm porcelain tiles, dark timber wall panels and illuminated ceilings. The dated decorative ceilings, lighting and balustrades were all removed and replaced with clean, simple lines as a backdrop to new casual seating and tenant facilities.
The office space was cleverly designed to maximise floor plates and to integrate the new services seamlessly. Services were completely replaced and wc cores refurbished.
We worked closely with the team on a traditional contract to ensure that the project was delivered successfully within very tight timescales
