We created a fantastic new cycling facility for staff and visitors at Skypark. We worked closely with the client to carefully develop the brief for the new cycling facilities at Skypark. We looked at a few different locations for the cycling facilities, but the final choice was agreed as it is safe and easily located off-road level, the area is large enough to include all of the required facilities and easy direct access is available to the central reception building and all offices.
The facilities include parking for 250 bikes, buggy/ large bike parking, electric bike charging points, folding bike lockers, dedicated bike maintenance area complete with tools. There is a dedicated changing and locker area, separate drying room and separate male and female washrooms and showers. Separate accessible washroom and a treatment room for massages etc. is also included.
We designed the space to be efficient, incorporating as many different facilities as possible, to be bright and welcoming and to ensure users feel safe and secure using the space and leaving their belongings there.
The facilities were awarded a Platinum Award by Cycling Score.
