Glentyan house is a Grade B listed, privately owned country house located on the outskirts of Paisley. We were commissioned by the owners to redesign areas of the interior to provide new kitchen and bedroom accommodation and externally to refurbish various areas and provide landscaping designs for a private courtyard.
Much of the work involved removing previous alterations. Internally, a minimalist approach to structural alterations was taken, reinstating original layouts or creating sympathetic new spaces. Much of the internal fittings were custom designed, with the bathroom and dressing room furniture all being designed in line with client requirements. The kitchen was also hand-built by a custom kitchen manufacturer.
Externally, all work had to be carried out sympathetically to the existing house with materials all based on existing examples.
