Our brief for the Houldsworth Street corporate office design was to incorporate grade A flexible office space and maximise the site’s potential.
The site constraints were very challenging, including the relationship to adjoining buildings, existing car parking and the new building.
The building has been designed to maximise open views on all elevations and to have maximum flexibility to allow subdivision on a floor by floor basis. The materials and approach to construction have been carefully considered to ensure Bream Excellent status. The building sails over the existing car park for the adjacent building and incorporates new parking within the new footprint.
Our designs include linking the new building with the existing urban grain and improving the design of the urban realm. We have incorporated outdoor seating areas, planters, living walls, and improvements to the surrounding buildings to improve the linkage and the quality of the environment.
