Studio Space Planning
The brief was to create a new studio for Axis, a multi award winning animation and VFX (visual effects) company within a standard developers office space. The brief was to provide something different whilst still achieving the high quality environment required by their operation. We have advised them on the studio space planning on both of their Glasgow studios and their London studio.
We created a studio space with exposed services, pendant lighting and industrial finishes, carefully selecting the materials to ensure that the aesthetics of the required industrial feel was balanced with the importance of acoustics and comfort in the working environment.
We worked closely with the m+e engineers and contractor to ensure that the coordination and the appearance of the exposed services looked good enough to expose.
